This movie is a remake of I Am Sam.

Story is about a mentally retarded hero who helps a pregnant woman to deliver her child. The mother goes away leaving the behind who is raised by the hero. Years later kid's grandfather come to take the custody of her. Remaining movie is the the hero's fight to keep the custody of the child.
